Yoong & Patt Partners is a boutique law firm established by a team of passionate lawyers. We provide wide range of legal services which are accommodated to all kinds of legal matters, legal issues and/or legal disputes commonly faced by both public and private sectors at large including but not limited to Public/Private Limited Company, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Small and Mid-sized Enterprise (SME), Joint Management Body (JMB) and Individual.

Civil Disputes Resolution

Debt Recovery

  • Debt Recovery is a process to recover payment of debt from the debtor such as individual, business or company in the event of default and/or refusal in making payment which has become legally due.
  • Our counsels have represented companies, financial institutions, and other creditors to recover payment of debt from debtors in their course of practice.

Winding Up

  • Winding-up is a legal process to put an indebted/insolvent company to an end.
  • A company shall be deemed to be unable to pay its debt under the Companies Act 2016 if the amount indebted is RM10,000.00 or above. (However, the threshold was increased to above RM50,000.00 between the period of 23/4/2020 to 31/12/2020 following the Directive gazetted on 23/4/2020.)
  • Once a company is wound up by a Court order, the assets of the company would be liquidated, and the proceeds of sales would be distributed to the company’s creditor.
  • Our counsels have represented both Creditor and Debtor in a Winding-up Proceeding in their course of practice.

Bankruptcy

  • Bankruptcy proceeding is a legal process which is initiated against individual who is unable to settle their debts owing to any creditors.
  • A creditor shall be entitled to present a bankruptcy petition against a debtor when the debt owing by the debtor to the petitioning creditor is RM50,000.00 or above.
  • Once an individual is adjudged bankrupt, all the assets belonging to the bankrupt would be liquidated, and the proceeds of sales would be distributed to the company’s creditor.
  • Our counsels have represented both Judgment Creditor and Judgment Debtor in a Bankruptcy Proceeding in their course of practice.

Insurance

  • The legal matters in the insurance industry are broadly classified into Motor and Non-Motor Claims.
  • Our counsels have represented many local insurers in Malaysia and insured in personal injury, property damage, negligence and fraud matter in their course of practice.

Commercial & Company Matters and Disputes

  • We draft practical commercial agreements for companies including but not limited to Sales of Goods Agreement, Supply of Goods and Services Agreement, Credit Sales Agreement, Distributorship, Agency Agreement, Franchise Agreement, Employment Contract, Independent Contractor Agreement and etc.
  • We do represent company and individual in any Contractual Disputes.
  • Our counsels have represented companies and individuals in various types of Commercial Contract Disputes.

Family Law

  • The legal matter which is common under Family Law is often matters in relation to Divorce/Matrimonial Proceeding.
  • Our counsels have represented client in filing Single Petition, Joint Petition, Applying for Custody of Children, Maintenance of Spouse and other matters incidental to Matrimonial Proceeding.

Employment Law

  • The legal matter which is common under Employment Law is often matters in relation to Employment Dismissal.
  • There are two (2) types of Employment Dismissal known as “Unfair Dismissal” and “Constructive Dismissal”.
  • We represent both Employer and Employee in any legal proceeding related Employment Law.

Conveyancing

Property Transactions

  • We have represented both buyer and owner of property various property transactions.
  • Our work scope in a property transaction includes but not limited to preparing Agreement to Purchase; preparing and drafting Sales & Purchase Agreement (“SPA”); preparing and drafting Loan Agreement (“LA”); preparing Memorandum of Transfer (“MOT”); preparing Memorandum of Charge; preparing Statutory Declaration of Non-Bankruptcy for the Purchaser and other legal documents incidental to a Property Transaction.
  • We do provide service for Discharge of Charge for property owner to redeem the Original Title from the Bank upon the settlement of the housing loan and to remove the Bank’s name on the title.

Loan Transactions

  • We do provide legal services to financial institution and individual in preparing and drafting Loan Agreement.

Tenancy Agreement

  • We do provide legal service to Landlord and Tenant in preparing and drafting Tenancy Agreement.

Will, Probate & Administration

  • We do provide legal service to individuals in preparing and drafting Will.
  • We also provide legal service to individuals in the application of a Letter of Administration and Grant of Probate in Court.
